As an active team member and the then Vice President of the club, I was honored to have the chance to design the new jersey for the university’s archery team: a formal outfit for 30+ people to represent the team and university during the competitions in the next 2 years. Collaborated with the 2 team captains, I am proud of the outcome as it was a good reflection of the new club branding and well-received by people.

7. Reflection
In the beginning, I did feel the huge pressure of designing a formal outfit for the whole sports team. Despite making graphics for the T-shirts before, I was in doubt several times about if I was “experienced enough” for this task. I am glad looking back I persisted and followed through the whole process with the help and feedback of my teammates. I was thrilled when during the 2022 Indoor Nationals, people praised the jersey design in front of me. This was the joy of knowing my design brightens people’s life - which is much more powerful than simply being satisfied with the outcome by myself.
Looking through the gradual “evolution” of my design versions, I directly see the beauty of “simplicity” - with only 3 colors, in the end, I was still able to create different textures and contrasts while having the jersey redirecting the viewers’ attention back to the individual archers.
Besides, it was a truly empowering experience shooting in the competitions wearing the jersey designed by me!
